OBD2 scanners by budget: compare price and function

SKYVNO buying guidance · Reviewed 13 October 2026 · Based on supplied specifications, not hands-on testing.

Start with the job, then the budget. V106 and V302 are lower-priced screen options; V321 and V520 add documented reporting features; DA100 uses a compatible phone. Paying more does not automatically add ABS, airbag or service-reset coverage.

Model Listed price Documented reason to compare Check before choosing
V106 $24.99 USD 2.4-inch color screen, live data and readiness. Vehicle data support; voltage is not a complete battery test.
V302 $29.99 USD 2.8-inch color display and real-time curves. No assumed ABS, airbag or service-reset access.
DA100 $29.99 USD Phone-based workflow; OBD Home named in supplied materials. Bluetooth revision, phone/app compatibility and any app charges.
V321 $39.99 USD Documented cloud report printing and engine-OBD data. Report-service, phone, network and account requirements.
V520 $49.99 USD 2.8-inch screen with DTC, I/M and BAT controls. Exact vehicle, diagnostic system and supported tests.
V529 $54.99 USD Live-data, readiness and report functions. Do not treat supplier carbon-test labels as direct measurements.
V521 $59.99 USD F1/F2 controls, playback and performance-test labels. Code-library size does not establish system coverage.
V901 Pro $59.99 USD OBD interface plus documented battery-clamp tests. Battery type, CCA range, included clamps and package revision.

What belongs in the total budget?

The planned customer shipping charge is $4.99 standard or $9.99 express from Shenzhen. Destination availability, delivery estimates and tax handling remain to be confirmed before checkout opens. For Bluetooth tools, check whether the required app, subscription or vehicle add-on has a separate charge.

When is it worth comparing a higher-priced tool?

Only when its documented functions address your task. A larger display, different controls, reporting workflow or separate battery interface can matter. A larger code database is not proof of wider diagnostic access, and a higher price is not proof of accuracy or reliability.

Can the lowest-priced scanner clear my warning light?

Check the exact vehicle and system first. These materials describe supported engine-OBD functions; a warning from another module may need a different tool. Save codes and supporting data before clearing anything. Clearing a code does not repair the cause.

How we selected these examples

This is a comparison of documented features and our current catalog prices. It is not a performance ranking or an independent product test. We chose examples with different screens, controls and connection methods and state material uncertainties on each product page.
